The transfer, initially expected to be finalized in the summer, has been fast-tracked. Orozco was pictured outside Old Trafford after traveling to England with Manchester United's lead scout, Giuseppe Antonaccio.

Despite the early arrival, the 17-year-old will not be eligible to play for the club until next season. Due to post-Brexit regulations, the U17 World Cup star must wait until he turns 18 before he can be officially registered to compete.

United Secure "The Next Moises Caicedo"

Reports from El Diario have drawn comparisons between Orozco and Chelsea's Moises Caicedo, highlighting a similar skillset that prompted the Red Devils to act decisively.

The club famously missed out on signing Caicedo years ago, and the new ownership group, INEOS, reportedly views Orozco as a potential "leader of a new generation," justifying the $1 million fee.

A source familiar with the deal noted the club's high hopes for the young talent.

"United are comparing his potential to that of young Moisés Caicedo, whom they failed to sign a few years ago," the source explained.

"They see Orozco as a modern defensive midfielder, with aggressive ball recovery, accurate long passes, and emotional maturity rarely seen in a 17-year-old."

While not a physically imposing player in the mold of Casemiro, Orozco's strengths lie elsewhere.

"He compensates with positional intelligence and good distribution," the source added.

"He stands out for his ability to win back possession, accelerate transitions, and remain calm under pressure, more in the style of 'Moi' [Caicedo]."

Orozco, who is yet to make his senior debut for Fortaleza CEIF in the Colombian top flight, attracted interest from several clubs.

However, Manchester United moved swiftly to secure the deal, reflecting INEOS's increased focus on scouting and recruiting from the South American market.
