‘Chelsea is now our feeder club’ — Arsenal fans mock Blues after snatching Madueke

Arsenal fans have taken to social media to poke fun at rivals Chelsea after sealing a deal for England winger Noni Madueke.

The 23-year-old is set to become the Gunners’ fourth summer signing in what’s shaping up to be an ambitious transfer window at the Emirates.

The Gunners have reportedly reached a full agreement with Chelsea for the signing of Noni Madueke, with the fee believed to be around £52 million.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the winger is set to undergo a medical in the coming days before signing a five-year deal that will see him trade Stamford Bridge for the red half of north London.

Madueke, who played a key role for Chelsea last season in their run to Champions League qualification and Conference League success, has seen his place in the starting lineup threatened by the arrivals of Joao Pedro, Estevao, and Jamie Gittens.

Rather than fight for minutes, the former PSV man appears ready to embrace a fresh start under Mikel Arteta. His move follows the signings of Christian Norgaard, Martin Zubimendi, and ex-Blues goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga as Arsenal continue to bolster their squad across key positions.

After signing players like William Gallas, Willian, Yossi Benayoun, Kai Havertz, Jorginho, Petr Cech, Raheem Sterling, and Kepa Arrizabalaga, many fans were sceptical about Arsenal procuring another Chelsea star.

Yet, reactions on social media have been fiery, with Arsenal supporters using the moment to taunt Chelsea over yet another high-profile sale to a Premier League rival. One fan quipped, “Chelsea is now our feeder club. We are massive,” referencing Arsenal’s recent acquisitions of Jorginho, Havertz, Kepa, and now Madueke.

Another wrote, “Welcome home Noni Madueke. Welcome to a proper football club.” While some remain skeptical about the £52m price tag, others have praised the club’s bold moves this summer, declaring Arteta’s squad now deeper and more dangerous heading into the new campaign.
