The Blazers were always likely to move Holiday, as they stick to their plan of focusing on youth and stacking up assets for the future.
Damian Lillard was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in a blockbuster deal on Wednesday to team up with Giannis Antentokounmpo but the Celtics have now responded with a move of their own.
Holiday is considered one of the league's best two-way guards, and his arrival with the Bucks played a huge part in the franchise's 2021 NBA championship.
