Brian Wahinya at fullback as Kenya Simbas reveal squad for Elgon Cup clash against Uganda

Five changes have been made to the Kenya Simbas starting 15 ahead of Saturday’s Elgon Cup return clash against Uganda at the Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium at Mamboleo, Kisumu City.

Two of the changes are in the front row where Eugene Sifuna will return to start after missing the tour of Uganda due to academic commitments.

Sifuna has been partnered with Ephraim Oduor as the loose heads while Hillary Mwanjilwa is the tight head. The duo starts ahead of Wilhite Mususi and Teddy Akala who are among the match-day replacements.

Elekeans Musonye will return at openside flank after starting last Sunday’s 21-20 loss to Uganda from the bench as Paul Mutsami has been given the nod at inside center, partnering with Bryceson Adaka in midfield.

Derrick Ashiundu will be returning to the wing, replacing Alfred Orege who misses out on the match day squad due to an injury.

Others who will not be in action on the match day include Emmanuel Otieno, Reinhard Mwalati, and Walter Okoth. Andrew Matoka has made a good enough recovery to be included among the replacements as Shem Okola starts from the bench and is in line for his debut.

Jone Kubu and Brian Wahinya swap places in positional changes made to the backline, Kubu starting at flyhalf with Wahinya slotting in at fullback.
