Big Vic! — Boniface flaunts diamond-encrusted pendant designed by Lionel Messi’s jeweller

Victor Boniface has continued making waves off the pitch.

The Bayer Leverkusen star has splashed out millions on a custom-made, diamond-encrusted pendant, designed by none other than MJ Jones—one of Britain’s most exclusive jewellers. 

The luxury piece, carved with the words “BIG VIC,” was proudly showcased by the Nigerian forward on his Snapchat, instantly catching the attention of fans.

MJ Jones has built a reputation for crafting some of the most exotic and expensive jewellery pieces for football’s biggest stars.

 The London-based jeweller boasts an impressive clientele that includes none other than eight-time Ballon d’Or winner Lionel Messi, alongside his Inter Miami teammate Luis Suárez. 

Other high-profile names in their portfolio include Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martínez, Barcelona’s Raphinha, and Juventus women’s star Alisha Lehmann.

Beyond football, MJ Jones has also catered to major celebrities in the music industry, designing custom pieces for American rap sensation Lil Baby and British pop star Perrie Edwards. 

With Boniface joining this elite list, it’s clear he’s making a statement not just in football but in the world of luxury fashion.

This would not be the first time that the Super Eagles star spends heavily on custo-made jewellry.

Less than a year ago, Boniface recruited the services of prominent jeweller, Buchi Obasi, the man behind Victor Osimhen’s championship ring & chains after he led Napoli to the Scudetto in 2023.

Boniface requested two iced-out diamond chains which reportedly cost him more than ₦10,000,000, as gathered by Pulse Sports.

One of the large pendants features an encrusted Diamond inscription that reads “Dreams Are For Real” with a throwback picture of his late mother and his siblings.

The other one was created solely as tribute to his late mother, also featuring an encrusted Diamond inscription that reads “Keep Resting Mama.”

While Boniface enjoys the finer things in life, speculation continues to swirl around his future at Bayer Leverkusen.

 Premier League side Newcastle United are reportedly keen on securing his services, with sources revealing that intermediaries have already begun exploring potential exit routes for the Super Eagles striker.

Boniface was instrumental in Leverkusen’s Bundesliga-winning campaign under coach Xabi Alonso, despite facing injury setbacks. 

The 24-year-old has still managed to maintain his impressive form, scoring seven goals in just 12 league appearances.

Earlier in January, Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr made a strong push for Boniface, but a deal ultimately failed to materialise.

 The move would have been a life-changing opportunity for the Super Eagles star, but with Newcastle now in the mix, another big-money transfer could be on the horizon.
