Barcelona has successfully registered forward Marcus Rashford for their opening LaLiga match against Mallorca, ending a period of doubt and frustration for the club.
The registration was secured through a series of last-minute financial manoeuvres, clearing the path for the former Manchester United player to make his competitive debut.
The club created the necessary salary space by completing a deal for Francisco Trincão, whose remaining rights were sold for over €11 million.

They also restructured defender Jules Koundé’s contract, which helped spread out transfer fee payments and free up funds. Rashford, who joined on a season-long loan from Manchester United, is now officially available for selection.
Broader financial hurdles remain
Despite this success, the club's financial challenges persist as Barcelona is still working to register several other players, including new signing Roony Bardghji, veteran goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny, and academy graduates Marc Bernal and Gerard Martín.
The club's ability to fully comply with LaLiga's financial rules hinges on a deal: the potential sale of VIP seating at the newly renovated Spotify Camp Nou. If approved by auditors and LaLiga, the sale would generate major income and help the club meet the 1:1 spending rule, which ties player salaries to club earnings.
In addition to Rashford, Barcelona recently managed to register goalkeeper Joan García, a signing from local rivals Espanyol.
García's registration was made possible by using the salary space allocated for the injured Marc-André ter Stegen, and he is expected to start this weekend's match.
On the other hand, teenage right-back Hector Fort is likely to leave on loan to gain more playing time.
