Asisat Oshoala: FIFA Acknowledges Super falcons star as ‘Agba Baller’, celebrates her at 29
The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has celebrtaed Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala 'Agba Baller' on her 29th birthday.
The five-time African footballer of the year clocked 29 on Monday, and she was born on October 9, 1994, in Ikorodu, Lagos.
Oshoala makes history at Women's World Cup
Oshoala come from the bench to score against Australia at the 2023 Women's World Cup, with her goal she is now the first Nigerian to score in three editions of the FIFA Women's World Cup.
The Barcelona forward became the first African to accomplish this record, having scored in both the 2015 and 2019 tournaments, where she scored one goal each.
Oshoala gets back-to-back Ballon d'Or nominations
Super Falcons star made the nominees as France Football released the full 30-woman nominee list for the 2023 Women’s Ballon d’Or award making it back to back nomiation for her.
The Barcelona forward has been nominated for the award for the second consecutive year in a row.
In 2023, She won the league and Champions League with Barcelona and reached the Round of 16 of the World Cup with the Super Falcons, who were unbeaten in regular play.
FIFA celebrates Oshoala
The World Football governing body, celebrated the Most decorated African women football player on her 29th birthday.
