Arsenal's interest in Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane has taken a hit, as the German winger is reportedly set to sign a renewal and continue with the Bavarians, despite reports of an impending exit.

As Pulse Sports reported, the Germany international has entered the final year of this contract, and top clubs are circling like sharks. Arsenal entered the mix and wanted to bring him back to the Premier League.

The Gunners followed Sane's contract situation intently and were ready to pounce. The North London side were not the only top club monitoring the situation; however, they believed they could leverage the previous relationship between Mikel Arteta and the winger.

Arteta and Sane were together at Manchester City during the same period, and the Spaniard is said to retain fondness for the winger.

According to Georg Holzner from Kicker, relayed by the People's Pinnacle, the Bavarians want to keep Sane and have offered him a new deal; however, the former Schalke man has been mulling it over.

However, it is now reported that he will put pen to paper, as he prioritizes the relationships he has built at Bayern over the thrill of a new-ish experience in the Premier League.
