Antonio Conte underwent successful surgery in Italy to remove his gallbladder two weeks ago and returned to England to continue his recovery process.
Conte to take extra time off to recover
Despite his eagerness to return to work, doctors have now advised him to take some time off to fully recover from the surgery. In the meantime, assistant, Christian Stellini will handle first-team duties in his absence.

"Following a routine post-operation check in Italy on Wednesday, Antonio Conte will remain at his family home to further and fully recover from his recent gallbladder surgery," a club statement read.
"Health is the most important consideration and everyone at the club wishes him well. Cristian Stellini will assume first-team responsibility."
Stellini had stressed the need for Conte to "take it easy" upon his return and it appears the former Juventus boss has decided to take that advice and give himself proper time to recuperate.
Conte was back on the touchline for Spurs’ 4-1 defeat to Leicester City over the weekend as well as last nights 1-0 reverse to AC Milan.
Stellini to assume first-team duties
Stellini will lead the team against West Ham at home this Sunday in a crucial London derby.
Fifth-placed Spurs have had an inconsistent season. Performances have been largely disappointing but there is still time to turn things around and a victory over West Ham will offer renewed optimism to the supporters.
