AFCON 2023: Top scorers ahead of knockout round - Can Osimhen still win Golden Boot?
AFCON 2023 has delivered some exceptional performances including world-class goals and surprise Golden Boot contenders.
Emilio Nsue of Equatorial Guinea leads the goal-scoring charts in the 2023 AFCON with five goals, putting him ahead of Algeria's Baghdad Bounedjah, who has three goals to his name.
Nigeria's Victor Osimhen was one of the favourites to win the Golden Boot but the 25-year-old Napoli man has only scored one goal so far, a disappointing return.
Osimhen will have a chance to add to his tally when Nigeria and Cameroon meet in a heavyweight Round of 16 clash on Saturday.
