19-year-old prospect compared to Super Eagles icons Enyeama and Nwabali keeps another clean sheet
Bayelsa United’s promising goalkeeper, Clinton Andy Ezekiel, has continued to turn heads after another standout performance for the Restoration Boys, following a bright start to the season.
In a dramatic season opener last weekend, the teenage shot-stopper delivered a man-of-the-match display away at Shooting Stars, drawing early comparisons to Nigerian greats Vincent Enyeama and Stanley Nwabali.
The 19-year-old proved to be the ultimate difference maker as the Restoration Boys went, saw, and conquered their hosts to get their season off to a winning start in Ibadan.
Clinton built on that impressive showing on Sunday, recording back-to-back clean sheets as United cruised to a 2-0 victory over newly promoted Barau. The win kept Bayelsa United’s perfect start intact.
Two second-half goals sealed the points for the Restoration Boys. Magbisa Wisdom opened the scoring from 12 yards, following a penalty, followed by Eyong Ofem’s strike late on to seal the deal for the home side.
Throughout both halves, Clinton remained decisive and calm, making crucial saves to preserve the lead and secure the win for Monday Odigie’s side.

With two successive shutouts in his first two league matches of the season, Clinton Andy Ezekiel is establishing himself as a key figure for Bayelsa United and a must-watch talent for fans and scouts.
Up next, Clinton’s ability will face the sternest test yet when they travel for a tricky encounter against Niger Tornadoes on Sunday.
