German-born Kenyan fencer Alexandra Ndolo has detailed how a gift she received from sprinter Ferdinand Omanyala strengthened her resolve represent the country at Paris Olympics.
She noted that growing up, she was introduced to many music types since her parents had friends from almost every corner of the world and she was exposed to different types of music.

“Beyond the sport, I like to sing. Music is like one of my passions and I like to listen to all sorts of music. As a teenager I was really into hip hop but then I shifted to electronic music.
“I grew up with what I’d call world music through different influences from both my parents because they had friends from like every corner of the world.
“Music is definitely one of my passions and I don’t have so much free time at the moment for any other things and music is definitely the primary thing,” she said.
Ndolo then went ahead to sing one song that her mother introduced her to when she was a young girl and she was certainly hitting the high notes.
