Benjamin Mumo led his Machakos-based team to a dominant victory at the KCB East Africa Golf Tour, securing a spot in the grand finale.
The quartet of Benjamin Mumo, John Masai, Faustine Maithya, and L.M. Kamba produced an outstanding performance to claim top honours at the KCB East Africa Golf Tour held in Machakos on Saturday.
The team posted a combined score of 141 points, securing the overall team victory in a fiercely contested tournament.
They edged out the team of Richard Muli, Bernard Mutua, Major Mumo, and Jack Musomba, who delivered a strong showing with 138 points but had to settle for second place.

Enock Ogembo combined with Eleanor Wambui, John Kibet, and M.M Macharia to win the KCB East Africa Golf Tour at Nakuru Golf Club.
Despite finishing as runners-up, both teams earned coveted slots in the tour’s grand finale, which is scheduled to take place on December 5.

In the individual categories, Simon Kimatu, playing off handicap 17, delivered an impressive performance with 42 Stableford points to emerge as the overall winner.
He narrowly edged out Charles Kithuku (handicap 19), who carded 40 points to secure the Men’s Winner award.
Among the ladies, Ndunge Musyoka, playing off handicap 40, topped a large field to claim the Lady Winner award with a remarkable 42 Stableford points.

Former Rugby Star Eyes Dominant Display at Nakuru Leg of KCB Golf Tour
The former Kenya Harlequins star heads into the Nakuru leg of the KCB Tour, aiming to extend his impressive run and leave another mark on the golf circuit.
Rose Nduta, playing off handicap 33, carded 37 points to clinch the Guest Winner title. In the staff category, Allan Kirui, playing off handicap 24, emerged as the winner with 35 points, edging out Joseph Malatu (handicap 29) on countback, who settled for the runner-up spot with an identical score.
In the junior category, Peter Mbithi, playing off handicap 17, delivered a standout performance, returning 32 points to claim top honours.
Benson Mutua took the Nearest to the Pin award, while Raymond Kisyang’a captured the Longest Drive in the men’s division. Rose Nduta also shone again by winning the Longest Drive in the ladies’ category.
The KCB East Africa Golf Tour now shifts to Kisii Golf Club for its next leg, scheduled for July 26, 2025.
