Pep Guardiola showered praise on Burnley manager Vincent Kompany following Manchester City's 3-1 triumph in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Birthday boy Julian Alvarez scored two goals, complemented by a Rodri strike, leading Manchester City to a comfortable 3-1 victory over Burnley at the Etihad Stadium.

"Vinny sooner or later will finish here," Guardiola told reporters.
