FKF Premier League's newly promoted side finds a welcoming abode as Gusii Stadium undergoes renovations.

Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) newbies Shabana FC have officially secured their new home ground for the upcoming 2023/2024 season.

The team will play a huge chunk of their matches at the William Ntimama Stadium in Narok, as confirmed by FKF Narok County chairman Peter Torino in a recent interview with the media.

The decision to move to the William Ntimama Stadium comes as Shabana's original home ground, Gusii Stadium, undergoes significant renovations.

The upgrade became necessary due to the challenges faced during the National Super League (NSL) matches, including difficulties in crowd control and pitch flooding.

With the stadium improvements underway, the team sought an alternative venue to ensure their smooth participation in the Premier League.

The newly promoted side, eager to make a strong comeback to the top flight after 17 years, will kick off their season against another newly promoted side, Murang’a Seal, on Sunday 27 August.

The team is excited about the opportunity to play their matches at the William Ntimama Stadium, which offers both comfort and ample space for enthusiastic football fans from Narok and neighboring regions.

FKF Narok County chairman, Peter Torino, expressed his enthusiasm at the decision, stating, "As Narok, we welcome the move, and our teams playing in Division 2 and County League will have the benefit of watching Premier League matches.

“I call all the fans across the region to come and see Shabana in action."

The William Ntimama Stadium, with its modern facilities and capacity to accommodate a large number of spectators, promises to be an excellent venue for Shabana’s matches.

Shabana’s management submitted a formal request to the County Government of Narok to use the stadium on July 18 for some of their FKF Premier League matches, which was met with a positive response.

The move to the William Ntimama Stadium not only allows Shabana to overcome the temporary challenge of stadium renovations but also presents a unique opportunity for the team to connect with their fans from Narok and surrounding areas.
