Odada's AaB suffered yet another defeat, putting their Danish SuperLiga promotion hopes in jeopardy.

Harambee Stars midfielder Richard Odada featured as Aalborg suffered yet another defeat to  Sønderjyske on Saturday, losing 1-0 to put their Danish Superliga promotion hopes into even more jeopardy.

Odada entered the fray as a substitute for Mads Bomholt in the 67th minute, injecting energy and creativity into Aalborg's midfield.

Despite his efforts to influence the game positively, Aalborg ultimately couldn't prevent the defeat.

The match began on an unfortunate note for Aalborg as Sebastian Otoa was forced off the field due to injury in the fifth minute, with Jakob Ahlmann replacing him.

Aalborg faced an early scare when Mathias Jørgensen found the net, only to have his goal disallowed for offside.

Despite a period of control from Aalborg, highlighted by attempts from Kasper Jørgensen and Melker Widell, the first half ended goalless.

However, Sønderjyske gained momentum in the second half, with Josip Posavec making crucial saves to keep Aalborg in contention.

Aalborg's hopes suffered a blow when Melker Widell received a red card, reducing them to ten men. Despite their numerical disadvantage, Aalborg defended resolutely, but Sønderjyske eventually broke the deadlock with a penalty in the 87th minute.

After the goal, Aalborg made further substitutions in an attempt to salvage a point, but they couldn't find the equalizer. Despite the defeat, Aalborg remains in second place in the NordicBet League with 56 points, maintaining a 12-point lead over FC Fredericia.
