The 2022 World Cup finalist has been ordered to find a new club alongside Marseill teammate Johnathan Rowe after both players were involved in a physical brawl.
Adrien Rabiot’s mother and agent, Veronique Rabiot, has launched a scathing attack on Marseille’s hierarchy after the club decided to part ways with her son following his altercation with teammate Jonathan Rowe.
Speaking to RTL, Veronique insisted the clash had been deliberately exaggerated and accused the club’s leadership of being both incompetent and manipulative.

Benni McCarthy on Why Harambee Stars 'Aren't Really Afraid' of Any Remaining CHAN 2024 Opponent
Harambee Stars finished top of CHAN 2024's "group of death", and are facing Madagascar in the quater finals of the ongoing tournament at Kasarani Stadium on Friday.
“A player like Adrien can’t be sidelined from the team because of a dressing room argument. In the world of football, everyone lies, and everyone knows it,” she said.
“Of course, they are lying. At the end of the day, football is always about money. When you don’t know what’s going on, it’s because money is involved. How can we imagine there was a confrontation with incredible violence and no one intervened? No one was hurt, no one went to the hospital. There was no broken nose, no split lip, no stitches. I can’t understand it and I don’t believe it.”
"Management Out of Their Depth"
Veronique also singled out club president Pablo Longoria and sporting director Medhi Benatia, claiming they lack the competence to run Marseille.
“I really think that President Pablo Longoria and Sporting Director Medhi Benatia are wearing a suit that’s too big for them. They don’t have the right profile for the position and are consumed by pride and their excessive egos, unable to control their emotions,” she said.

Ben Stanley Omondi is one of the players that have earned Benni McCarthy's trust for Harambee Stars at the ongoing CHAN 2024, but the journey to where he is now has been anything but smooth.
According to her, the decision has destabilised the squad and betrayed Adrien’s commitment to the club. “Mr. De Zerbi speaks of betrayal… but it’s Adrien who has been betrayed. He is neither angry nor sad, just deeply disappointed.”
"They Want Him Out"
Veronique strongly suggested that Marseille’s leadership has used the incident as a pretext to force her son out.
“Every day, they portray the spat as more and more aggressive, but they are lying. All this can’t be just because of a clash between players. Do I suspect the management is using this incident to get rid of Adrien? Well, yes, that’s very clear.”
She also revealed her doubts when Adrien first considered joining Marseille. “When Benatia first called me, I told him: ‘If it were up to me, my son wouldn’t join this club!’ Adrien convinced me himself. I thought we had been through the worst with PSG. Well, I was wrong.”
"Sad for the Fans"
Despite her anger at the club, Veronique expressed sympathy for Marseille supporters, praising the way they embraced her son last season.

West Ham vs Chelsea: Hammers Seek Redemption Against Dominant Blues at London Stadium
West Ham United host Chelsea at London Stadium in a crucial Premier League Round 2 clash.

The fallout between Adrien Rabiot and Marseille adds to a turbulent summer for the club, with speculation now swirling over the French midfielder’s future.
