Despite the victories, the law enforcers and Bullets remained fourth and 18th on the log respectively.

Kenya Police recorded an impressive 3-1 win over Posta Rangers in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League match played at Police Sacco Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The result, secured by goals from Marvin Nabwire and Elvis Rupia, sees the Law Enforcers complete a league 'double' over the Mail Men after a 2-0 win at Kasarani Annex in January.

It took just nine minutes for midfielder Marvin Nabwire to adjust his radar and sweep a shot past the Rangers goalkeeper Brandon Obiero to put the hosts 1-0 up.

Rangers responded well to going behind and gradually built an attacking rhythm, with their first shot on target a rasping volley from Titus Mutongoi in the 29th minute, though his effort was straight at Police goalkeeper Patrick Matasi.

The former Tusker FC goalkeeper was called into action again four minutes later, gathering Michael Apudo's curling cross.

Police doubled their lead three minutes to first-half stoppage time when Elvis Rupia placed the back of the net from Duke Abuya's delivery, and the score was 2-0 to the hosts during the halftime break.

Posta Rangers pushed for their first goal of the match with Brian Marita unleashing a shot that missed the target from inside the box, and John Kamau introduced attackers Patrick Otieno and Brian Otieno.

The momentum was with the hosts, and they were awarded a penalty after Rupia was fouled inside the Rangers' box in the 67th minute by Kennedy Odhiambo.

Rupia then stepped up and scored from the spot-kick to make it 3-0 to Police, but Posta Rangers managed to pull one back in the 93rd minute courtesy of Geoffrey Ojunga.

Meanwhile, relegated side Vihiga Bullets beat AFC Leopards 2-1 in a match played at Mumias Sports Complex.

The two teams attacked each other from the start, and it was the home side who broke the deadlock through Peter Halwenge  in the 28th minute of the match.

Vihiga applied some pressure on the visitors, and they were rewarded with the second goal in the 39th minute courtesy of Nicholas Masamba.

However, former FC Masr attacking midfielder Cliff Nakeya scored following a good team move to make it 2-1 to Leopards just three minutes to the halftime whistle.

Leopards introduced Victor Omune and Brian Wanyama at the beginning of the second half as they looked to restore parity.

However, Patrick Aussems' men were frustrated by Bullets' defence which was solid and compact for the better part of the second half.
