Music sensation KRG the Don dished out the motivation money following K'Ogalo's first league loss this season.

Music sensation Karuga Kimani, popularly known KRG the Don or Bugaa has awarded Gor Mahia Ksh 650,000 despite their 3-1 loss to Kenya Police in a match that took place at the Police Sacco Stadium on Saturday.

Austin Odhiambo scored the opening goal for K’Ogalo, but Kenneth Muguna scored the leveler before Tito Okello (both former Gor Mahia players) scored a brace to inspire the side to make a dramatic comeback and grab all three points to put them third on 33 points.

This brought an end to their 19 game unbeaten run in the league, but they still maintain a considerable lead at the top of the table.

The game was also overshadowed by the fact a majority Gor Mahia fans expectedly failed to show up after Police hiked up their ticket prices for the match.

This may have affected the club, as a stadium filled with Police  fans rallied their team oto victory despite going a goal down.

As the players sat in the dressing room dejected, chairman Ambrose Rachier could be seen calling KRG to send them a message, and the musician gave them words of encouragement before pledging to give them something small to motivate them and get them back up on their toes.

“As men, sometimes it is about falling down, getting back up and looking forward,” KRG said.

“Life is like that, you go down, stand up, dust yourself and look forward to the next game. When you wake up tomorrow, the aim is at the price.

“Use the pain from the defeat to fuel you to do well tomorrow.”

Looking ahead, Gor Mahia will be looking to get back to winning ways when they face Ulinzi Stars next weekend as they seek to build on from the 43 points they have accumulated so far.
