Kylian Mbappe's impending exit from Paris Saint-Germain puts Chelsea's desire for Victor Osimhen in danger.

Kylian Mbappé's anticipated departure from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) at the end of the season, in pursuit of new challenges, has set off a domino effect in the football transfer market, particularly impacting Chelsea's aspirations to sign Victor Osimhen.

Mbappé's decision to leave PSG, as reported by The Athletic, has led the French club to identify Osimhen as a potential replacement, which could complicate Chelsea's efforts to bolster their attack with the Nigerian forward.

PSG's Search for a Successor

PSG has reportedly placed Osimhen high on their list of potential replacements for Mbappé, acknowledging the significant void the departure of such a talent would create.

Osimhen's impressive performance for Napoli, which propelled them towards their first Serie A title in over three decades, has not gone unnoticed.

This has prompted PSG to consider meeting Napoli's hefty €150 million asking price for the striker, a move that could leave Premier League giants like Chelsea and Manchester United in a challenging position to compete for his signature.

Chelsea's Conundrum

For Chelsea, the situation presents a particularly difficult puzzle. The club's need for a prolific centre-forward is palpable, given their struggle to find the back of the net consistently this season.

Osimhen, with his proven goal-scoring prowess, emerged as an ideal candidate to lead Chelsea's front line. However, PSG's readiness to invest a significant sum in securing Osimhen's services could derail Chelsea's plans, forcing them to look elsewhere or engage in a bidding war that could inflate the striker's price tag even further
