Yamal, who also sported a fresh new haircut for the occasion, spoke to reporters after the match and revealed a powerful conversation he had with teammate Ronald Araujo before the final.

“Talking to Ronald Araujo at the hotel I told him,” Yamal shared as per Barca Blaugranes.

“If they score a goal against us, nothing happens. This year they can’t beat us, we’ve shown it, we’re very happy and Barça is alive.”

Barcelona looked lively from the outset, dominating the first half and taking the lead thanks to a sensational first-time strike from Pedri, set up perfectly by a neat cut-back from Yamal.

However, the match turned chaotic after the break when Real Madrid brought on Kylian Mbappé.

The Frenchman quickly made an impact, curling in a free-kick to equalize. Shortly after, Aurelien Tchouameni headed home from an Arda Güler corner to put Madrid in front.

Despite the setback, Yamal’s pre-match words echoed on the pitch as Barcelona refused to buckle.

In the dying moments of regular time, Ferran Torres latched onto a brilliant long ball from Yamal, calmly rounding Thibaut Courtois before slotting home to force extra time.

The drama did not stop there as with penalties looming, defender Jules Kounde seized his moment, unleashing a superb low drive from 22 yards to win the match for Barça.

The goal was Kounde’s fourth of the season and capped off a memorable night for the Catalan giants.

Reflecting on Yamal’s influence, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick praised the teenager’s maturity and fearlessness.

“Lamine is a special player, not just for his talent but for his mentality. What he told Araujo shows you everything about his character,” Flick said.

The victory marked Barcelona’s third win over Real Madrid this season, reinforcing their dominance over their bitter rivals.

Tensions boiled over at the final whistle, with Real’s Antonio Rudiger and Lucas Vazquez both receiving straight red cards from the bench in a chaotic end to the match.

Beyond the goals and drama, the night belonged to Yamal, whose creativity and composure under pressure once again confirmed why he is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in world football.
