The Kenyan international scored an amazing goal as Ararat Armenia held their nerve to hold league leaders Pyunik away on Friday afternoon.

One-capped Harambee Stars midfielder Alwyn Luheni Tera was on target in stoppage tome as Armenian Premier League side Ararat Armenia forced a draw away at Pyunik on Friday afternoon.

Tera started the game as a substitute as his fellow Kenyan international Amos Nondi made the starting line up just four days after helping Harambee Stars get a 2-2 draw against Russia in Turkey.

Pyunik Opened the scoring in the 28th minute through Lucas Villela when he drove with the ball from the left flank before releasing a ferocious shot into the left corner of  Arsenl Beglaryan’s net.

This did not stop Ararat from huffing and puffing in efforts to get an equalizer. They continued piling the pressure on the homeside, but just could not find the back of the net.

This left the coach with no choice but to make changes that would hopefully inspire his side to turn around the result, and it worked.

In the 91st minute, Tera received a pass from Brazilian right back Alemao, who gave a defence splitting pass that landed on the path of the Kenyan international before he rifled a shot home from a nailed-on impossible angle.

The goal was Tera’s second of the season for the Armenian giants who now sit in third place, seven behind Pyunik who are league leaders themselves on 30 points after 12 matches played.
