Kenyan striker Lewis Shivachi has moved to an Albanian first division side aiming to make an impact in the European football arena.

Kenyan striker Lewis Shivachi has officially sealed a move to Albanian Super League side FK Apolonia.

The 22-year-old forward, known for his agility and sharp instincts in front of the goal, makes the leap from the FKF Premier League side Posta Rangers on a one-year deal.

Shivachi initially joined Posta Rangers from Ligi Ndogo and quickly made an impact in the Kenyan league.

His debut for Rangers last season in a goalless draw against Sofapaka showcased his potential, setting the stage for his international move.

"Shivachi departed from the country early in the morning for Tirana, the capital of Albania, after signing a deal. Additionally, two other Kenyans are on their way to join the team," his agent Rashidi Kenneth revealed in an exclusive interview with Pulse Sports.

The young striker becomes the latest in a series of departures from Posta Rangers, following defender Ken Owino's move to FKF Premier League side AFC Leopards.

Shivachi's journey mirrors that of other Kenyan forwards who have found success in Albania, such as Ismail Dunga, who played for KS Luftëtari Gjirokastër and FK Tirana.

Shivachi, an admirer of former Tusker forward and AIK player Henry Meja, has often expressed his aspiration to emulate Meja's career trajectory, from shining in the Kenyan league to making a name in professional football.

FK Apolonia, currently positioned fifth in the Albania First Division with 27 points from 18 matches, looks forward to Shivachi's contribution.

The team, having scored 28 goals this season, anticipates that Shivachi will significantly bolster their offense. His arrival is timed perfectly as the team vies for a top spot in the league.
