The former Vihiga United defensive midfielder will miss Police remaining two games this season.

Kenya Police FC's hopes of a strong finish in the 2022/2023 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) have been dealt a significant blow with the news that their defensive midfielder, Silicho Soita, will miss the remainder of the campaign due to a severe knee injury.

Soita suffered an unfortunate setback during a friendly match against Sam West Black Boots on Wednesday, leaving him sidelined for the remaining fixtures.

Although the club has not provided an exact timeline for his return, early reports suggest that Soita, known for his versatility as both a midfielder and a central defender, could be out of action for six weeks.

In an official statement released by Police FC, the club expressed their disappointment at losing such a key player at such a critical stage of the season.

"Utility player Silicho Soita has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to a knee injury. We wish him a quick recovery," reads the statement.

The absence of Soita, who has been an influential figure in the team's midfield, will undoubtedly be felt by Police ahead of their remaining fixtures against Vihiga Bullets and KCB.

His ability to contribute in both defensive and offensive phases of play has been crucial to Police, who were hoping to secure a strong finish in the Premier League.

With Soita ruled out for the remainder of the season, the team will have to rely on regulars Charles Ouma and Marvin Nabwire to step up and deliver exceptional performances to achieve their goals.

The Law Enforcers are currently placed fourth on the league standings with 60 points that they have attained from 32 matches played this season.
