The weekend extravaganza is set to celebrate AFC Leopards' rich history with fan engagement, matches, and festivities at Nyayo Stadium.

Preparations are in full swing as FKF Premier League giants AFC Leopards gear up to celebrate their 60th anniversary in grand style at the Nyayo Stadium.

The festivities are set to kick off with an elegant dinner at the MAA Hotel in Nairobi on Friday evening, serving as a fundraiser aimed at supporting the club's future endeavors.

Vincent Shimoli, the chairman of the Ingwe@60 organising committee revealed that the club has also organized an Inter-branches tournament finals set to take place at Camp Toyoyo on Saturday.

"On the same day in the evening, we have organized Ingwe Night at Nyayo Stadium which will be an opportunity for our fans to feast and celebrate together as they dance to our local artist’s tunes," a statement from Shimoli reads.

The climax of the weekend's activities will be on Sunday, 24 March featuring a series of matches that celebrate the past, present, and future of the club.

AFC Ladies will take on Kisii Queens (Shabana Ladies) in what promises to be an exciting match.

Additionally, legends from AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia will face off, reigniting old rivalries in a friendly match.

The day will also feature a friendly match between AFC Leopards and the visiting Spanish side A.E Ramassa, offering fans a unique international football experience.

Shimoli extended his gratitude to all media houses and partners who have supported the club in the lead-up to this monumental event.

"The media has provided extensive coverage since we marked our birthday on 12th March 2024. We are immensely grateful to all our partners and the incredible support from our fans," he futher stated.

AFC Leopards' journey over the past six decades has been marked by significant achievements, including winning the FKF Premier League 12 times, the domestic Cup 10 times, and the CECAFA Club Championship five times.
