K’Ogalo have come a long way in their FKF campaign, having kicked off with a win against National Division 2 side KSG Ogopa.

Gor Mahia strolled to a 3-0 victory over KSG Ogopa during the preliminary round of the FKF Cup on February 23.

The next round saw Gor Mahia showcase their dominance with a commanding 5-0 victory over Githurai Allstars on March 9.

That commanding victory set up their Round of 16 clash against Bandari FC on April 12.

A 2-0 win at the Mbaraki Sports Club saw striker Benson Omala strike on return to set up their quarter-final clash against Kariobangi Sharks.

Gor Mahia go into the fixture with high momentum following their latest outing.

The FKFPL record champions triumphed 4-0 in their latest league outing against Mara Sugar at the same stadium.

Goals from Sharif Musa, Enock Morrison, and Gedeon Bendeka ensured a comfortable outing to close the gap at the summit.

However, prior to that, their title hopes had taken a dent following their 1-0 loss to Talanta at the same ground in last week’s midweek action.

The result will give Sharks hope, showcasing that the record champions are vulnerable and beatable.

Sharks themselves come into the fixture on the back of their 2-1 league loss to Bandari FC on Saturday.

They will need to overcome their flaws that saw them succumb to a Beja Nyamawi stoppage-time strike if they are to overcome Gor to keep their CAF Champions League hopes alive.

The Sharks overcame Denmak FC 3-1 in their FKF Cup Round of 32 clash on April 12.
