Arsenal's big splash on new striker Viktor Gyokeres is set to push one of the club's stars out of the Emirates.

Gabriel Jesus is out of action and recovering from his ACL injury, but latest reports suggest that Arsenal are considering a potential transfer for the striker.

Several clubs, including some in Brazil and Europe, have made inquiries for his services ahead of the new season.

According to Brazilian outlet RTI Esporte, Flamengo are among those interested and are advancing their pursuit, preparing a one-year loan offer with an option to buy.

Flamengo reportedly initiated talks with Jesus, receiving positive feedback, before crafting a proposal for Arsenal that includes a 50/50 salary split during the loan.

A move could provide Jesus with regular playing time post-recovery, crucial for catching the attention of Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Last season, Jesus scored seven goals and provided two assists in in 27 appearances (13 starts, 14 as a substitute) before his injury. The arrival of Viktor Gyokeres effectively pushes Jesus to third choice behind the Swede and Kai Havertz, making his chances of regular action extremely slim.

While a summer transfer initially seemed unlikely due to his injury, a loan with a purchase option could pave the way for a permanent move.
