Chelsea host Tottenham at Stamford Bridge aiming to extend their dominance in a crucial Premier League London derby for European spots.

Chelsea host Tottenham at Stamford Bridge tonight in a high-stakes London derby that could redefine the race for European places.

With a 9:30 PM kickoff the Blues are eager to clinch three vital points to bolster their chances of finishing in a top European competition slot.

This fixture comes hot on the heels of Chelsea's staggering 6-0 victory over Everton a result that has surely boosted their confidence.

The Blues have an impressive record against Spurs having triumphed in 24 of their last 38 encounters across all competitions. Earlier this season, Chelsea handed Tottenham a 4-1 defeat highlighted by Nicolas Jackson's remarkable second-half hat trick.

History heavily favors Chelsea in this matchup with the team having secured 13 draws and suffering only a single defeat against Tottenham—a loss masterminded by none other than Spurs' current manager, Mauricio Pochettino during his tenure at the club.

Adding to their dominance Chelsea has scored 114 goals against Tottenham, the most the Lilywhites have conceded against any team.

The Blues are not only riding high on historical dominance but also on recent form.

They have won seven of their last nine home games amassing 29 goals in their last 10 matches.

On the other side, Tottenham is coming off a disheartening loss to Arsenal in the North London derby, a blow to their aspirations for a top-four finish.

The absence of Timo Werner, sidelined by an injury, deprives Spurs of a key player against his former club.

Further compounding their challenges, Tottenham will also miss crucial players like Ryan Sessegnon and Ben Davies. Nevertheless, they can still rely on the defensive prowess of Micky van De Ven and Christian Romero to steady the ship.

Injury woes plague both sides, with Chelsea's Axel Disasi and Thiago Silva both out after sustaining injuries in recent matches. This adds to a lengthy list of 14 players on the sidelines for the Blues presenting Pochettino with a tactical dilemma to keep Tottenham's attackers in check.
