Kariobangi Sharks receive a boost with the return of two key players from injury ahead of their Premier League clash.

William Muluya and his technical bench at Kariobangi Sharks have been handed a significant boost ahead of their crucial Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) encounter against Murang'a Seal.

The much-anticipated return of Ian Karani and Victor Ngume from injury spells a positive turn for the team as they gear up for the season's endgame.

Karani, renowned for his exceptional aerial prowess despite being one of the shortest central defenders in the country, had been sidelined for a considerable portion of the season.

His skills in reading the game and tackling are expected to bring a much-needed strength to the Sharks' defense line.

"After lengthy lay-offs for the better half of the season, Ian Karani and Victor Ngume are back to first-team training and available for selection," the club confirmed.

Victor Ngume, a new signing from Mara Sugar at the start of the season, has also been nursing injuries.

His return is timely as the Slum Boys aim to improve their standings in the league.

Before joining Sharks, Ngume showcased his talents at St. Joseph's Youth FC, making him a valuable asset for the Sharks.

Sharks, currently 13th on the table with 17 points from 16 matches, are looking to leverage the return of these key players to climb the league standings. Their last performance was a commendable 3-0 victory over FC Talanta.

In contrast, Murang'a Seal, their upcoming opponents, are sitting ninth with 23 points, having played an equal number of matches.

Seal, coming off a 1-1 draw against AFC Leopards before the league's festive break, will be looking to maintain their edge over the Sharks.

However, with Karani and Ngume's return, Sharks are optimistic about their chances in this maiden clash between the two sides.

This upcoming duel, set to be held at Police Sacco Stadium, promises to be a gripping encounter.

Fans can catch the action live on Azam TV, anticipating a showdown that could redefine the standings for both teams as the season progresses.
