Financial woes facing the club are far from over as the search for a sponsor goes on.

Darajani Gogo are likely to get a walkover as their Wednesday National Super League rivals Kisumu All-Stars grapple with financial challenges.

All-Stars have confirmed they are short of monetary resources to honour the midweek clash, and should they not show up, it would be the second time they are dishing out a walkover.

"Having issued one walkover, we are on the verge of issuing the second walkover on Wednesday, May 5 against Gogo Boys in Nairobi," the former Kenya Premier League side stated.

"This is a special appeal to well-wishers to donate or help us travel to Nairobi on Wednesday.

"We believe the storm will be over soon."

After All-Stars failed to honour their fixture at St. Sebastian Park, Murang’a Seal were awarded three points and a 2-0 victory on March 29.

The Kisumu-based side has, therefore, initiated an online fund drive where they expect their fans and well-wishers to contribute in order to enable them honour the match.

The team has been facing financial challenges, and reports indicate that the players and the technical bench members have not been paid since September last year.

On January 27, they appealed to the well-wishers to come to their aid for a match that they had been scheduled to play Mombasa Elite at Mbaraki Stadium.

All-Stars are not the only NSL team to dish a walkover. Silibwet Leons failed to honour their match against Murang’a Seals on January 11 and thus gave out free points.

Leons could not honour the match as reports indicated that the team was left with few players after a number were hit by illness ahead of their week seven match.
