Johana's UTA Arad will not be taking part in the Romanian Super League playoffs following defeat to Dinamo Bucharest on Friday.

Harambee Stars midfielder Eric Johanna Omondi experienced agony as his UTA Arad side was beaten 1-0 by Dinamo Bucharest ending their playoff hopes.

Omondi played the whole 90 minutes and tried to create, registering two key passes playing as a twin striker and taking his man on efficiently.

His efforts were not enough in the end, as the game was also overshadowed by an eight-minute delay because fans incited chaos on the pitch.

Dinamo managed to get the victory thanks to a goal scored by Goncalo Gregorio in the 20th minute. The Portuguese scored with a strong shot from inside the box.

UTA controlled the game in the second half and had chances to equalize, but Dinamo goalkeeper Adnan Golubovic had an excellent performance.

The victory removes Dinamo from the direct relegation zone, while UTA remains in eighth place in the ranking.

Born on August 18, 1994, in Nairobi, Kenya, Johana commenced his football journey in his homeland with Mathare United.

His European adventure began in the Swedish championship, where he played for Vasalunds IF, Brommapojkarna, and Jönköpings Södra.

His footballing odyssey also took him to Belgium, representing Beveren, before making the move to Muangthong United in Thailand in July 2022, where he left an indelible mark with an impressive goal tally.
