Tickets for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations have officially gone on sale and here is all you need to know before purchasing yours.
Harambee Stars may not be at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) but fans who would like to watch the matches now have an opportunity to purchase tickets.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) put tickets on sale on Monday with Visa cardholders granted a 48-hour exclusive window to purchase tickets before they become available to the general public.
This highly anticipated launch follows an earlier delay, and millions of fans across the continent are eager to secure their seats for the tournament. The initial sales phase started at 9am on October 13 and can run exclusively for Visa customers until 9am on October 15.

After this priority period, sales will open to everyone, with all other payment methods accepted. CAF explained that this phased rollout is designed to "streamline platform access and guarantee a better user experience during the massive sales launch."

Digital Innovations: Fan ID and YALLA App
To modernise the ticketing process, the Local Organising Committee (LOC) has introduced the YALLA application. This all-in-one platform will manage the mandatory Fan ID required for all ticket purchases and will also facilitate the e-visa process for international fans entering Morocco.
This digital-first approach aims to provide a secure, connected, and seamless experience for supporters, bringing the tournament in line with global standards for major sporting events.
CAF acknowledged that the initial sales launch, originally planned for September 25, was postponed due to technical difficulties. The governing body has since assured the public that all systems have been thoroughly tested and stabilised to prevent any further disruptions.

How to Purchase Tickets
All fans must first obtain a Fan ID through the YALLA app, which is available on both the Google Play and App Store. This electronic ID is a prerequisite for buying tickets, and each Fan ID will be limited to one ticket per match to ensure traceability.
Once their Fan ID is validated, Visa cardholders can visit the official ticketing website, tickets.cafonline.com, starting at 9am Moroccan time on Monday, October 13, to buy their tickets.

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals are scheduled to be held in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations faces the threat of disruption following the start of protests in Morocco over what they term excessive spending on sports over other key sectors.
Tickets are categorized into three classes, Category 1, selling at Ksh6,515, Category 2: Ksh3,909 and Category 3 selling at Ksh1,958 for the opening match between Morocco and Comoros. The others are, Top Group Stage: CAT 1: Ksh5,212, CAT 2: Ksh3,261 and CAT 3: Ksh1,303.
Normal group stage matches are categorized into; CAT 1: Ksh3,909, CAT 2: Ksh2,606 and CAT 3: Ksh1,303 while those wishing to attend the Round of 16 and third place playoffs will pay Ksh6,515 for Category 1 tickets, Ksh3909 for Category 2 and Ksh1,958 for Category 3.
Quarter-final tickets at AFCON 2025 will set you back Ksh7,818 for Category 1, Ksh5,212 for Category 2 and Ksh2,606 for Category 3 while in the semi-final, you will have to pay Ksh10,424, Ksh5,212 and Ksh2,606 for Categories 1-3 tickets in that order.
