19 Premier League Clubs to Pay £5 Million Each If Man City Win 130 Legal Breaches Battle

Manchester City’s legal battle could turn out to be costly to all the other 19 Premier League clubs if they escape punishment for breaching profit and sustainability rules.
City are facing up to 130 alleged breaches of financial rules and their legal bill could reach a total of £100 million and according to The Sun, “administrative expenses”, including legal fees, reached £200.2 million last season.
It is thought that the legal bill would have been £8 million but other disputes involving City, Everton, Nottingham Forest and Leicester City inflated the bill.

City’s win in the first Associated Party Transaction case in February led to the Premier League champions demanding that the Premier League meets their £10 million legal costs as well as their own bills.
If the 130 charges are approved, there will be a separate sanction hearing but a City win would see them demand a full recovery of their costs which would see the bill split between the other 19 Premier League clubs who have demanded that they be investigated and punished for the rule breaches.
That would see each of their rivals lose out on £5 million which will reportedly be deducted from the money distributed to Premier League clubs from broadcast and commercial deals.
