Erling Haaland shares a two-word injury update as Manchester City push for success in the FA Cup and Club World Cup.

Pep Guardiola’s men continue to be in strong form staying unbeaten in their last seven matches and confidence is high at the Etihad Stadium ahead of a crucial FA Cup semi-final against Nottingham Forest.

A late winner from Matheus Nunes against Aston Villa kept the momentum going, despite the team missing their talismanic striker Erling Haaland due to injury.

The Norwegian star suffered an ankle issue during Manchester City’s FA Cup quarter-final victory over Bournemouth, sparking fears that he could be sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.

Addressing the concerns at the time, Guardiola said, "They told me the doctors say between five to seven weeks. So hopefully the end of the season and by the Club World Cup he will be ready."

Haaland has now given fans a fresh reason for optimism.

The 24-year-old posted a promising update on his Snapchat story this week, sharing a photo of his boots ahead of training accompanied by the caption “Getting there!”

The brief but positive message has City fans buzzing as the season approaches its critical final stages.

Since Haaland’s injury setback, Man City have shown their strength in depth. The team has won four of their five matches without their main striker, drawing only once against rivals Manchester United.

City have found goals from multiple sources, including Omar Marmoush, Nico O’Reilly, and Kevin De Bruyne, keeping their hopes alive for silverware despite a turbulent campaign.

Still, Guardiola and City supporters alike know that having Haaland back could be the decisive factor in finishing the season on a high.

Although he has not quite matched the staggering heights of his debut season, Haaland has still racked up an impressive 30 goals and four assists in 40 appearances across all competitions this year.

The sight of Haaland leaving the Vitality Stadium on crutches with his ankle in a protective boot after the Bournemouth game had initially triggered fears of a lengthy absence.

City moved quickly to reassure supporters, stating, “Haaland would see a specialist about the injury and anticipate he will be fit to play a further part in the remainder of this season including this summer's Fifa Club World Cup."

Sunday’s win against Aston Villa showed again that City can find a way without their Norwegian powerhouse. H

However, with the FA Cup being their only remaining route to silverware after a tough Premier League title race and early exits from the Champions League and Carabao Cup, the return of Haaland could not come at a better time.

Guardiola will be hoping to reintegrate his star striker soon, especially if City advance to the FA Cup final.

The FIFA Club World Cup this summer also remains a key target, and Haaland’s firepower could be crucial for Manchester City's ambitions both domestically and internationally.
