“You just have to be a killer on track,” Thomas said on the Marathon Handbook. “If you want to be successful in a sport that is as cutthroat as track and field is, especially sprinting, you have to be there for blood because every tiny fraction of a second matters.”

“You have to be so locked in, focused to win. At the end of the day, we are all so talented but you have to have that instinct that I will win at whatever cost,” she added.

In a surprising admission, Thomas said that killer instinct in her has now spilled into other spheres of her life to the extent it is a problem to those around her

Killer Instinct a Problem for Others

“You can train it and some people will just go on with that and I am at a point where I am just naturally so competitive to the point where it can be a problem outside of track and field too but you just have to have that killer instinct,” she revealed.
