Julien Alfred has revealed how life has changed since her Olympics triumph, joining Noah Lyles and Gabby Thomas in raising concerns about safety and increased public attention.

Olympic 100m champion Julien Alfred has explained how her life has changed since the Paris 2024 Games, seemingly echoing what Noah Lyles and Gabby Thomas said.

The Olympic 200m silver medallist revealed that the homecoming party was definitely something she will live to remember but also pointed out that her security was enhanced since the exploits.

Gabby Thomas and Noah Lyles had earlier raised concerns about stalkers after their dominant performances at the Olympic Games and it seems like Julien Alfred is also going through the same.

She revealed that at the moment, she is not allowed to go anywhere alone for her safety, adding that it is both a good and a bad thing.

At the Paris Olympic Games, Julien Alfred stunned world champion and pre-race favourite Sha’Carri Richardson to win the women’s 100m title in a national record time of 10.72 seconds.

In the 200m, the Saint Lucian finished second behind Gabby Thomas, clocking an impressive 22.08 seconds, to cross the finish line.

“It really was, the parade, the celebration back home, it was truly something that I’ll remember for the rest of my life just as winning the Olympic gold medal. Going back to the Island was definitely life-changing for me,” she shared in a pre-race press conference ahead of the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix.

“Just to echo some of the things that Marcell just said, being an Island, being recognised, you can’t just go anywhere just like that. I’m being escorted in different places, you know, having somebody with me to keep me safe as well.”

In the same press conference, Noah Lyles revealed that his life greatly changed even before the Olympic Games, noting that people always recognise him everywhere he goes.

The triple world champion further disclosed that on the great side, he has managed to sign several endorsement deals that he will be announcing soon.

"I don’t think I have been outside has not recognised me in some capacity. That’s good and bad at the same time. You know, I’ve had my fair share of stalkers recently,” he shared.

On her part, Gabby Thomas also raised concerns in a video shared on her Tik Tok, revealing that there had been a group of men who were following her around at airports.

However, Gabby Thomas has found relief since she identified who the men were and promised to report them to the relevant authorities. With the matter being handled by the police, she is sure things will be okay.
