The men's 1500m saw Portugal's Isaac Nader claim the win in a dramatic race as Josh Kerr pulled up an injury, with Kenya's Reynold Cheruiyot winning a bronze.

The men's 1500m was somewhat unpredictable, with the Kenyan duo of Timothy Cheruiyot and Reynold Cheruiyot hoping to finally reclaim the title that was last won at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar.

However, they still faced tough opposition from defending champion Josh Kerr, Niels Laros, Jake Wightman, and Neil Gourley, who have been impressive in the semifinal.

As the race started, the men were already fighting for positions in the race, with Timothy Cheruiyot leading from the front with his training mate Niel Laros.

Isaac Nader crossed the finish line in 3:34.10 ahead of Jake Wightman, the Brit who has also been out due to an injury setback. Wightman claimed a silver medal in a time of 3:34.12.

Kenya's Reynold Cheruiyot, the former world under-20 1500m champion, secured a bronze medal for Kenya as Timothy Cheruiyot, who had been leading for the better part of the race, finished fourth in 3:34.50.
