Ta Lou is yet to clash with Richardson so far this year and the Meeting in London will be their first.

Jamaica’s Shericka Jackson, USA’s Sha’Carri Richardson, and Ivory Coast’s Marie Josée Ta Lou will go head-to-head at the Diamond League Meeting in London on Sunday, July 2.

Jackson, Richardson, and Ta Lou are the top-three fastest women in the world so far this year and fireworks are definitely expected when they take on the London Stadium at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The three have had a great season thus far and they will intend to maintain the hot streaks when they line up for the 100m. Jackson is the fastest among the three after running a brilliant race to win the 100m in 10.65 during the Jamaican Championships.

Richardson is the second fastest, a feat she achieved when she ran 10.71 during the 100m heats at the USA National Championships. The Ivorian is the third fastest after she ran 10.75 to win the 100m at the Bislett Games, the Diamond League Meeting in Oslo.

Meanwhile, in their past two encounters, Richardson defeated Jackson and the Jamaican will definitely be looking to change the narrative when they arrive in the United Kingdom’s capital.

Their first encounter was during the Diamond League Meeting in Doha, Qatar where Richardson edged Jackson to second place and repeated the same trend during the Meeting in Silesia, Poland.

Ta Lou is yet to clash with Richardson so far this year and the Meeting in London will be their first. Jackson and Ta Lou met at the Bislett Games where Jackson finished third as Ta Lou carried the day.

Another one entered in the star-studded field in Dina Asher-Smith who will be hoping to impress on home soil. She has run a Seasons Best of 10.98 and has so far competed in the 100m in two Diamond League Meetings, Doha and Oslo.

She withdrew from the Meeting in Florence due to an injury but at the moment, she seems fit to compete again after pulling a show at the UK Athletics Championships. The USA duo of Twanisha Terry and Aleia Hobbs have also entered the race.
