Hunter Woodhall and his wife Tara Davis-Woodhall have predicted who would win the showdown between Sha'Carri Richardson and internet sensation iShowSpeed.

Olympic and Paralympic power couple Hunter Woodhall and Tara Davis-Woodhall have weighed in on the highly anticipated race between sprint sensation Sha’Carri Richardson and viral internet star Darren Watkins Jr., better known as ‘IShowSpeed.’

Richardson, the reigning world 100m champion, met the popular streamer at the Super Bowl flag football game on February 8.

During their interaction, Watkins challenged the track star to a race, prompting Richardson to raise the stakes. Rather than accepting immediately, she proposed an alternative plan.

“Before we race, I got to teach you how to be a sprinter first,” Richardson told Watkins. “You come down for a day, you do my entire workout, and after that, we can set something up. But you got to do what I do first before we race… You got to be a track athlete first before a race.”

Watkins, famous for his energetic personality and immense online following, has a history of testing his speed against elite sprinters.

In November 2024, he raced Olympic champion Noah Lyles over 50 meters but was handily defeated. Despite this, the Ohio native has expressed aspirations of competing at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

As anticipation builds around a potential faceoff between Richardson and Watkins, Hunter Woodhall, a gold medalist in the men’s 400m T62 at the 2024 Summer Paralympics, made his stance clear. When asked about the likely winner, Woodhall didn’t hesitate.

“She would beat his a**,” Woodhall declared confidently.

Doubling down on his belief, Woodhall even proposed a wager. “I put 10k on Sha’Carri. I do not know who is gonna take my bet, but I am going to put 10k on Sha’Carri.”

His wife, Tara Davis-Woodhall, an accomplished long jumper who claimed gold at the 2024 Olympics and silver at the 2023 World Championships, seemed to share his confidence in Richardson.

“Yeah, I am putting Tara’s money on Sha’Carri,” Woodhall quipped.

With both elite athletes backing Richardson, the excitement surrounding a potential race continues to grow.

Whether Watkins will accept Richardson’s challenge to train as a sprinter first remains to be seen, but one thing is clear—if the showdown happens, the odds heavily favor the track star over the internet sensation.
