McLaughlin-Levrone owns a personal best of 48.74 seconds in the 400m, a mark she set in Eugene in 2023 adding to the strong connection she has with the track at Hayward Field.
Remarkably, four of her six world records in the 400m hurdles have also come on the same track, cementing the venue as a personal fortress for the Olympic and world champion.
“I’m excited to participate in this year’s Prefontaine Classic, a truly special event in track and field,” McLaughlin-Levrone told World Athletics.
“I’m looking forward to competing against a fantastic field of athletes and can’t wait to see everyone in Eugene.”
