Botswana sprint sensation Letsile Tebogo caught the attention with his expensive timepiece as he rocked a renown Swiss luxury brand ahead of the Absa Kip Keino Classic in Nairobi.

Botswana sprint sensation Letsile Tebogo caught the eye with his luxury watch as he revealed his plans for the Absa Kip Keino Classic taking place in Nairobi on Saturday April 20.

Tebogo will be among the star attractions at the Continental Tour event where he will feature in the 200m as he seeks to continue his great start to his 2024 season.

The world 100m silver and 200m bronze medallist caught the attention with the timepiece on his wrist, being the Swiss-based luxury watchmaker brand TAG Heuer.

Tebogo became a brand ambassador for TAG Heuer in January 2024, coming shortly after they introduced former world champion Fred Kerley to their roster.

The 20-year-old was rocking TAG Heuer Connected Steel Case - Black Rubber Band SBG8A12.BT6219 which retails at Ksh1,054,560.

He has also previously spotted the Tag Heuer Carrera Chronograph Automatic with a red rubber band that is priced at Ksh979,387 as the luxury watchmaker seeks to leverage on his growing popularity to push their brand.

Time will be of the essence for Tebogo who will be running his second competitive 200m race of the season in Nairobi.

He ran a world lead 19.94 in 200m at the ASA Athletics Grand Prix in Johannesburg, South Africa as well and also lowered his personal best in 400m by running 44.29 in Pretoria in March.

That came after he had shattered the 300m world record in February, clocking an astonishing 30.69 at the Simbine Curro Classic but he is not counting on his past achievements.

“I feel it will be a great show because I came here and won the junior championships,” said the 2021 World U20 100m champion.

“Now we are back here to see what the future holds for us. We don’t know what everyone (other competitors) has been doing behind the scenes. We hope it will be a great show."
