The third leg of the Diamond League series in Doha will feature Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Letsile Tebogo as headliners.

Jamaican sprint legend Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Botswana's Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo will headline a star-studded list of Olympic and World medallists set to compete at the Doha Diamond League on Friday, May 16.

A whopping number of 45 individual medallists from the 2024 Olympic Games and 2023 World Athletics Championships are listed for the third meeting of the 2025 Wanda Diamond League series at the Qatar Sports Club.

Fraser-Pryce will return to Diamond League action for the first time in three years, racing in her second individual race of the 2025 season after opening up with a 10.94s (+3.1m/s) 100m victory in Kingston, Jamaica, on April 19.

This time, she'll show her prowess against a formidable field that stars upcoming Jamaican twin sensations Tia and Tina Clayton, world 60m champion Kambundji Mujinga, world indoor bronze medallist Patrizia Wan Der Weken, veteran Jamaican speedster Natasha Morrison, British rising sensation Amy Hunt, and New Zealand's multiple champion Zoe Hobbs.

As the third-fastest of all-time over the 100m with a best of 10.60s (Lausanne, 2021), Fraser-Pryce last competed at the Diamond League meeting in Doha in 2021, where she took victory in the same event in 10.84s (+1.1m/s).

In the men's 200m, all eyes will be on Tebogo, who will be racing for the first time in Doha and the event this season, against a respectable field with American duo of Courtney Lindsey and Kyrie King, Liberia's Joseph Fahnbulleh, Canada's Aaron Brown, and South Africa's Shawn Masangwayi being his stongest competitors.

Other top stars expected to compete in Doha are Olympic champion Winfred Yavi in the women's steeplechase, while Neeraj Chopra (men's javelin throw) and Katie Moon (women's pole vault) will headline the field events.

Organisers have confirmed that in 2025, for the first time, athletes who set new meeting records in Doha (across all disciplines) will be awarded a $5000 bonus. Together with a record prize pot of $9.24 million across the Wanda Diamond League series, the announcement marks another welcome addition for athletes.
