She is set to kickstart her campaign at the Diamond League Meeting in Oslo, Norway.

Commonwealth Games 5000m champion Beatrice Chebet is not shaken as she plans to defend her Diamond League title.

The world 5000m silver medallist will be opening her title defense at the Diamond League Meeting in Oslo and she is not under the pump to deliver.

She will then head over to the Meetings in Silesia and London before going to the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

During last year’s Diamond League final in Zurich, Chebet was in a class of her own as she floored some of the greatest long-distance runners and cruised to the finish line. She was just fresh from winning the 5000m race at the ISTAF championships in Berlin.

“I don’t feel any pressure at all because I believe that if it’s my luck, I will definitely do better. I want to train hard and I will appreciate what I achieve.

"If I win it will be something great but if I lose, I won’t give up and I’ll definitely come back stronger,” the reigning World Cross-country champion said.

Chebet has been in remarkable form since the season started and so far, she has not lost any race she has competed in.

She kickstarted her season with a win at the 91st Cinque Mulini Cross-country before reigning supreme at the World Cross-country Championships in Bathurst, Australia.

Her recent victory was at the Kip Keino Classic where she dominated the 5000m women’s race and won the race in 15:15.82.

“At the moment, my main focus is on the World Championships where I hope to bring a medal back home. I just want to finish in the podium and I have started building up for the same…I’m hopeful that I’ll perform well,” she said.
