The 22-year-old is in the West African nation for a visit as he recovers from a back injury.

Saliba was part of the France national team that reached the final, and it was almost inevitable that an enormous crowd of fans would gather to catch a glimpse of the star.

The center-back and his family were having a meal but were forced to stop after a group of around 30 fans swarmed outside the gate.

Saliba, who looked much in high spirits, came out of the house and spent some time with the dancing fans before returning home.

In a video shared on social media, his admirers shouted his name as they cheered the player in their local direct.

Saliba has been in Cameroon for the last three days to meet his family members, as his mother hails from Cameroon.

He was also spotted on Thursday attending a local league match between Canon de Yaounde and Gazelle de Gorua.

Saliba has been nursing an injury sustained in March when he limped off in Arsenal's exit from the Europa League against Sporting CP, suffering an issue with his back that forced the youngster to be substituted.
