According to the Athletic, Walker is now set to stay at the Etihad Stadium next season, and is mulling over a new contract offer.

Pep Guardiola pushed hard to keep the 33-year-old after losing expeerienced players like Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez this summer.

Bernardo Silva is another one who has been linked with a move away from the Etihad all summer, but there is believed to be a positive feeling around the club that he will stay beyond the transfer deadline.
