Victor Olatunji: Super Eagles star ditches Champions League for Real Salt Lake
Victor Olatunji, a 25-year-old Nigerian striker, has joined Utah's Major League Soccer Club on a permanent transfer from Sparta Prague.
In addition to having club options for the rest of 2028 and the entire 2029 MLS season, the team signed Olatunji until June of the 2028 season.
Olatunji's P-1 work visa and the International Transfer Certificate (ITC) from the Czech Federation are still pending.
Olatunji who is just 25 played 93 games for Sparta Prague in all competitions, scoring 20 goals.

In a statement on the club website, Olatunji said, “I very much look forward to playing in Utah and in America.
“I have seen and heard good things about Real Salt Lake, the whole setup, and this inspires me to be here today.
“I am excited to meet the fans, they are very important to every club and ours can now expect me to play my hardest, bring hard work and desire to the game, and I also hope to help my team with goals and assists and whatever is asked of me.”
Before joining Sparta Prague, Olatunji played in Slovakia, Austria, Cyprus, and the Czech Republic, scoring 43 goals in 105 appearances.
Olatunji scored six goals in 14 UEFA Champions League games during his two years at Sparta Prague, helping the team win two trophies: the league title in 2023–2024 and the Czech Cup the same season.
