Kayode and case court with his wife
Sanliurfaspor sign Kayode despite a case of properties in court.
The situation involving the marriage life of Super Eagles of Nigeria star Olanrewaju Kayode and wife has taken a massive turn.
Kayode and his spouse have made an appearance before the Federal Capital Territory's High Court in order to pursue a divorce.
Kayode has claimed that his spouse, Ezinne, had an extramarital affair with a Nigerian pastor living in the UK.
In the complaint against his wife, Kayode listed Pastor Tobi Adegboyega as a co-respondent in a court filing at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Abuja.
Before, Ezinne had submitted her own petition in which she charged Kayode of mistreatment and possession of fetish items.
She told of discovering an odd package with things wrapped in red material and a padlock covered in black powder.
Ezinne, a lawyer by profession, stated she was not paid for her duties as Kayode's manager and is currently filing for divorce.
She requests legal protection against Kayode's harassment and abuse of her, as well as custody of their three children.
In a counterpetition, Kayode accused Ezinne of adultery with Pastor Adegboyega and other men, refuting the accusations made against her.
In addition, Kayode claimed that Ezinne went to late-night parties and misused alcohol while he was abroad playing football.
Kayode further claimed that Ezinne had taken over their houses and joint company operations, using the money for her alleged extramarital activities.
Reiterating his charges against his wife, Kayode claimed to have evidence of her relationship with Pastor Adegboyega in a live Instagram interview.
He clarified that he had paid for Ezinne and their kids to travel to London, only to find out later that she had taken advantage of the occasion to meet with the preacher.
The case is scheduled for hearing in Justice Modupe Osho-Adebiyi's court on September 24. As of the time of this publication, Pastor Adegboyega had not addressed the accusations.
Pulse Sports will continue to monitor the development of the situation involving Kayode and Dora.
