Transfer News: Victor Osimhen needs to be calm - Former Super Eagles star

Former Nigerian international, Dimeji Lawal, has offered his thoughts on the ongoing transfer saga surrounding Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.

Napoli faces a major hurdle in signing Lukaku until they sell their star striker, Victor Osimhen, who has a €120 million release clause. While no club has met that price yet, Paris Saint-Germain is the leading contender for his signature.

Additionally, Chelsea may be involved in a deal for Osimhen, potentially paving the way for Lukaku's transfer to Napoli.

"Osimhen's future at Napoli is up in the air," Lawal said, acknowledging the rumours linking Osimhen to Chelsea.

"There have been reports of talks between Napoli and Chelsea, but his agent, Roberto Calenda, has strongly denied them."

Despite the uncertainty, Lawal believes Osimhen's management team will guide him through this challenging situation. "He has a team of people looking after his interests," Lawal explained.

"Their job is to advise him on the best course of action. They'll tell him what to do and what not to do. It's a tough situation, but Victor needs to stay calm. (To clarify), I'm not part of his management team," Lawal told Complete Sports.

Napoli hopes Chelsea will reduce their demands for Lukaku, as the striker is eager to join them, and the former Serie A champions are confident they can acquire their preferred target for a reduced fee.
