Toni Kroos has apologized to Pedri for the tackle that led to the Spanish midfielder's knee injury, ruling him out of the remainder of Euro 2024.
Spain confirmed that Pedri suffered a grade two sprain to his left knee in the quarterfinal win over Germany, but he will remain with the squad ahead of their semifinal match against France in Munich on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old Pedri was injured in a challenge with Kroos within the first 10 minutes of the game.

"I want to apologise and ask for forgiveness, Pedri," Kroos wrote on Instagram after Germany's defeat, which marked his final game as a professional footballer before retirement.
"I hope you make a quick recovery. It was not my intention to hurt you and I wish you all the best. You are a great player."
