The Premier Soccer League giants have already landed in Dar es Salaam, ready to take on the Tanzanian giants during Wananchi Day on Saturday.

"With the league set to get underway in a fortnight’s time, we view this tour involving matches against quality opposition as a valuable opportunity to get the boys match-ready for the start of the season," said Kaizer Chiefs Sporting Director, Kaizer Motaung Jr.

"We intend to hit the ground running in our opening fixture against Chippa and establish forward momentum from the word ‘go’.

"These two matches [including one against Botswana's Township Rollers] against excellent teams will give me a chance to have a good look at our players, gauge the team in a proper match situation, and assess where we are in our preparations for the new season."

Amakhosi will then play Township Rollers on July 29 at the national stadium in the capital, Gaborone, before they switch their focus to the 2023–24 season. Chiefs will begin their campaign against Chippa United at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Sunday, August 6.
